Day 1: Cuiaba - Pousada do Rio Mutum (130km/3 hrs)
Reception upon arrival at Cuiabá airport followed by the transfer to Pousada do Rio Mutum. On arrival an introduction of the lodge and area around it. In the evening, a delicious piranha soup is served just before dinner. (D)

Day 2: Pousada do Rio Mutum
After breakfast a walk of approximately 3 hours through wood areas, forests and open fields in search of birds, mammals, reptiles. afternoon a boat ride In the afternoon a boat trip on the Mutum River to observe giant otters (Pteronura brasiliensis) rays (lymma Taeniura) and several birds species. After dinner a night safari in search for nocturnal wildlife. (B,L,D)

Day 3: Pousada do Rio Mutum
Horseback ride to a typical farm on the border of Siá Mariana Bay. An excellent way to observe the local flora and fauna. Afternoon boat ride, up to the Siá Mariana bay exploring it banks and channels. Stop for sunset and piranha fishing*. On the way back to the lodge a night spotlighting activity in search for animals. Dinner and overnight. (B,L,D) * The piranha fishing occurs February through September. During the period from October 1st to January 31st, it is prohibited to fish in rivers, lakes and bays in Mato Grosso, because it is the breeding season of fishes (Piracema).

Day 4: Pousada do Rio Mutum - Cuiaba Airport
Early morning canoe tour to watch the sunrise and the awakening of nature in the Pantanal. After breakfast return to Cuiaba. (B)
