Day 1 Cuiabá - Chapada dos Guimarães
Reception at Cuiabá/ Várzea Grande Airport and transfer to Chapada dos Guimarães. Hike along the Patience River in the valley at the foot of the Tablelands. Visit to the Echo Wall to observe sunset. Dinner in the historic town of Chapada dos Guimarães. Accommodation at Pequizeiro or Penhasco Lodge, dinner and overnight .(D)
Day 2 Chapada dos Guimarães
Breakfast and departure for Chapada dos Guimarães National Park, with hiking along wonderful trails, full of adventure and invigorating showers in the mineral water waterfalls that are part of the park’s water circuit.. Lunch at the Cachoeirinha Restaurant, where you’ll be able to taste the typical dishes of this region while seated in front of a breathtaking view of the canyon surrounding Bridal Veil Falls. Then we’ll proceed on our journey through the Chapada dos Guimarães Tableland up to the São Vicente Mountain Range, descending towards Barão de Melgaço’s Pantanal. By the end of the day, check-in at the Mutum River Lodge. Dinner and overnight. (B,L,D)
Day 3 Transpanteneira - Araras Eco Lodge
Breakfast and departure down river to Porto Cercado from which we will drive the Transpantaneira Park Road with approximately 70 km of photo-safari to reach Araras Eco Lodge. Check-in and lunch. Afternoon dedicated to hiking and visits to the treetop towers (12 and 25 meters high) for observation of fauna and sunset. Dinner and overnight. (B,L,D)
Day 4 Araras Eco Lodge
After breakfast, exploring activities start with hiking trails accompanied by your guide for observation and interpretation of the ecosystem. After lunch, horseback riding in Pantanal style in the fields, woods and waters of our private reserve. Dinner followed by a night excursion to observe the nocturnal environment with the goal of finding nocturnal animals that may be in the vicinity of the Transpantaneira Park Road. Dinner, overnight. Day 5 Araras Eco Lodge
Awakening before sunrise following the season’s rhythm, for a hike to watch the sunrise and watch the early morning activity of local wildlife. After breakfast, travel by vehicle to the Rio Clarinho, where in canoes you will explore its margins, boarding forest and mangroves. With luck, you may find the giant river-otter that inhabit these waters. Have fun fishing for piranha and dogfish, which will complement your barbecue at the picnic site. By the end of the afternoon, return to the lodge where you will be able to enjoy the sunset. Dinner, overnight at Araras Eco Lodge. (B,L,D)
Day 6 Araras Eco Lodge - Cuiabá Airport
Breakfast and departure for the airport in Cuiabá. Enjoy your last photos along the Transpantaneira Park Road.(B)
